The significance of the event will be underlined by its venue. We will be honoured to welcome our precious guests in the most beautiful and treasurable rooms of the head of our state in the Prague Castle, i.e. in the same spot  where the most important decisions in the history of our nation were made and where the history of our nation marched.

That is to say, China Investment Forum 2014 will be held under the patronage of the Czech President Mr.Milos Zeman who has been in favour of developing the Czech-Chinese relations not only in his current position but long-term – since he used to be the Prime Minister.

“We feel therefore entirely honoured by gaining his patronage and support,” the representatives of the Czech China Chamber of Collaboration, i.e. of the main organizer, express their thanks to the head of the state.

CIF 2014 is to be held alongside with the Local Leaders Meeting 2014 (LLM). Both events are based on the Bucharest guidelines for cooperation of the Central and Eastern European countries and China  which were adopted at the meeting of the Prime Ministers of the participating countries in November 2013 in Bucharest. The co-organizer of both events is the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic, the Chinese Secretariat for the Cooperation of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the Czech China Chamber of Collaboration.

The opening ceremony of both events will start by the Prime Minister Mr. Bohuslav Sobotka’s speech on August 28, 2014 at 9:00 am in the prestigious halls of Prague Castle. The highlight of the first day of the CIF and LLM 2014 will be the meeting of the guests with the President of the Czech Republic Mr. Milos Zeman at gala dinner party. The closing ceremony of both events will be held August 29, 2014 from 00:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. under the auspices of the President  of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Mr. Jan Hamáček in the gardens of the Prague Castle.

The main theme of this year’s gala meeting is the regional cooperation as an important drive of the cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the opportunities arising from it. The guests will be provided discussions in a total of more than sixteen panels and a number of other formal and informal meetings.

Altogether there are expected more than one thousand guests from 15 provinces of the PRC, from 15 countries of the Central and Eastern Europe and from the Czech Republic.
