The Prime Minister of the CR met Vice Governor of the Chinese Hebei Province

Prime Minister of the Czech Republic (CR) Bohuslav Sobotka met Qin Boyong, Vice Governor of the Chinese Hebei Province and executive Vice President of the Association of Governors of the People’s Republic of China and the representatives of the regions of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), in Hrzánský Palace in Prague on 10th November 2015. The 70-million Hebei Province is a province with most developed cooperation on both state and regional level.

Vice Governor Qin Boyong attended the China Investment Forum 2015 in the CR. It was already her third visit to the CR in the last year. This demonstrates the great interest of the Hebei Province in cooperating with the CR.

For example the Hebei Province was a special guest at this year’s International Engineering Fair in Brno, where was represented by an extensive exhibition. Spa, brewing and machine industry have been perspective areas of cooperation between the CR and the Hebei Province. Other examples of successfully launched cooperation include intention to open a Czech center at the University of Economics in Hebei and the cooperation on Prague’s 2016 Holiday World Fair.

The Hebei Province is also one of the greatest pioneers of cooperation between China and CEE in the Association of Governors of the People’s Republic of China and the representatives of the regions of CEE, whose foundations were laid in Prague in last year, at the historically second meeting of regional leaders – Local Leaders Meeting 2014.
